So the same unit that took out bin laden just took down some solami pirates... seal team 6 is climbing up the charts of which militarized special unit i'd want on my side if i was ever in need of help... they are up to #3 on the list now.

| our theme song is great for drinking! |
these guys would be strictly for aerial missions. but with pappy boyington at the helm, the black sheep could... um... i actually never watched this show, other than to hear the awesome opening theme song.

fearless, and a little suicidal.. after dealing with huge arachnids, the roughnecks probably could handle any situation that involved simply dealing with humans... on the other hand, they might not know what to do against an opponent who has weapons that shoot bullets and not random light... plus they seem just shoot the hell out of everything... so they probably are not suitable for stealth missions... still... if i had a roach problem, i am calling jonny rico.

| no time to urinate on the pirates, we're off to save the day somehwere else |
with a resume that included osama bin laden, and now pirates (plus probably a bunch of other outrageously dangers missionsi am unaware of) i am pretty sure they can take care of whatever you need... of course they might be bound by the regular regulations that #'s 1 and 2 are not bound by....(man, those are some badass masks... very 'cobra kai')

#2 Team Deep Sky:
fear the turtleneck! just a formidable roster anyway you slice it up. bill buchanan, chloe o'brian, tony almeida and jack bauer.... unstoppable is not in their vocabulary - unless of course one of them gets blow up in a white house terror plot, and another one is a terrorist in disguise....and one gets poisoned with nerve gas.... dammit... i guess my ranking on team deep sky is not based on their actions, but on what i would rather think of them as... buchanan, o'brian, almeida and bauer should have been where the show 24 went... i even like to pretend curtis manning is still alive and part of the team...fox totally dropped the ball... they should have been the next generation of freelance do-gooders, who are willing to do-bad if necessary...a modern day version of.... #1:

simply the best.... i am not sure if the fact they had a body count of zero is a plus or minus... i would imagine if i was hiring them in real life, i woudl want to minimize the deaths.... so i am gonna go ahead and count it as a plus... they get bonus points for being able to go head to head with the military if needed, and working for free if they felt the cause was noble enough.... plus they always made the coolest stuff, used costumes, and had hannibal cranking away on a victory dance after every successful mission.
so that's my list... obviously subject to change whenever i feel like it.... though considering the fact that seal team six is an actual real team - i'd be willing to slide them up the #1 spot if they adopt buchanan style turtle necks and hannibal cigars... which they very well might do already... U-S-A!, U-S-A!

I'm a little confused by the resumes needed to be on this list; is it just current/former military? If that's the case I'd have to expand the list to at least ten. The Dirty Dozen probably need to find a spot on here, and The Expendables. Maybe even that group of Templar Knights from "Ironclad" in the event you wanted to go medieval on someone's ass. I have to think about this some more.
ReplyDeleteyeah... current or former military was the general, hasty outline i gave... i initially wanted to keep it to smaller teams, but couldn't come up with any.... dirty dozen = oversight (list is "subject to change whenever i feel like it")... considered GI Joe, but felt they were too massive of an operation... but i clearly don't follow that formla .... i was tempted to scrap any qualification so i could include the dreadnoks....
