The Rise Of Curious Caesar

"now, you stay out of trouble curious caesar" said the franco in the yellow hat.
I went into this move with some serious trepidation (aka, marky mark's version sucked)

Right off the bat I was glad to see john lithgow. What the heck happened to john lithgow? He was so good as james francos alzhiemers stricken father I though that lithgow may have actually had alzheimers, and that was the reason I hadn't seen him in so long.

As it is, he was just acting (though I wasn't 100% sure of that until his character actually recovered from alzheimers.... as the quest to cure alzheimers is what's sets the movie in motion. )  either way,  it was rough seeing qualen in such bad shape.... i prefer seeing him kill his british pilot girlfriend on the top of a mountain....

rest of the review will be in the "comments" so as to not spoil it for you, billy bob.

  1. i actually don't have much to add… the monkeys get smart, they rise…. cue the sequel….

overall i was pleasantly surprised… franco does a great job playing james franco, the cgi is awesome….. and when caesar says "no!" to draco malfoy i would even classify it as chilling…

definitely recommend watching it, even if you were scarred by the marky-mark/tim burton debacle….

  2. I prefer my john lithgow in one of two ways: with the hendersons, or as the voice of yoda in the star wars radio drama. If there's one guy who could play second fiddle to the great frank oz, its Mr Henderson, er j lithgow.

  3. Let's just say I'm thinking about starting a petition that makes it unlawful to do scientific research on more then 5 chimps in any given city.
And if anyone sneezes blood on me ......... I won't just carry on like business as usual.
